BALTIMORE, MD. (WBFF)- The Maryland Department of Health released updated coronavirus numbers Monday morning. As of 10:00 a.m. there are 456,216 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Maryland, 212 cases have been reported in Maryland in 24 hours. Read more here
COVID-19 In Maryland -- The state of Maryland is still experiencing a rise in numbers with their COVID cases halfway into 2021. There are close to 500,000 positive cases in the region as May draws to an end, with new ones are still being identified. This raised their positivity rate to 2.51%, and deaths are still being reported, taking the total to almost nine thousand. More than a hundred people are still in the ICU receiving treatment and close to 500 are in acute care. Baltimore County and Baltimore City are the areas with the most cases. On a lighter note, the Health Department reports close to 3.5 million negative tests and the release of around 10 thousand patients from isolation. There have also been a little over 5.5 million vaccine doses that were administered.
